Aura Analyst is SingleStore’s AI data analyst. Natural language in, governed SQL and insights out. It sits on Helios and Aura AI as a real product, not a demo chatbot.

The problem

Enterprise AI is easy to make flashy and hard to make trustworthy. Business people want answers in plain language. Engineers need to see the SQL, the grain, and the filters — so both sides can argue about the same ground truth.

What I work on

I help build the product foundations so agent-style analysis is:

  • Accurate enough for real warehouse and operational data, not toy tables
  • Context-aware about the customer’s schema and intent
  • Transparent — you can inspect the SQL and reasoning, not just a final number
  • Safe enough for production data access patterns

The goal is not novelty for its own sake. It is answers people can act on, with a path to verify them.

How it fits Helios

Aura Analyst is not a side chatbot. It is meant to live where customers already work: managed SingleStore, workspaces, and the same data path as the rest of Helios. That constraint is a feature — less copy-paste into a separate “AI tab,” more analysis where the data already is.

What I own vs the team

Again: team product. I contribute as a software engineer on agent / analysis surfaces alongside the broader SingleStore AI and Helios efforts. Product naming, marketing pages, and the full stack of the feature set are collaborative.

Why it matters

If natural language is the new interface to data, the hard part is not the model demo. It is reliability, governance, and making engineers and business users look at the same answer. That is the bar we aim for.
