Background
Brand Studio is Google's internal think tank that uses creativity, media, and technology to create experiences that connect Google products to the people who use them.
As a contractor via Cybage, I worked on Glue — Google's internal TypeScript library that powers 2000+ marketing websites. Hundreds of developers use it to ship Google-branded sites at scale.
Work
Building and maintaining Glue meant shipping features, keeping the library healthy, and supporting teams who depend on it every day.
- Extending Glue to match product and design requirements
- New components
- Modular structure so code can be reused across sites
- Build, test, and release cycles
- Bug fixes and ongoing maintenance
- Documentation for developers building on Glue
- Working with design on both developer and end-user experience
- Accessibility so sites work for everyone
I also supported developers using Glue across Google marketing sites — debugging, guidance, and making the library better for the people who ship with it.
Technologies used:
- TypeScript, SCSS, HTML5, EJS, Markdown
- Jasmine, Karma
- Google Cloud Platform
Results
The following websites are just some of the thousand more websites that utilise the power of the library that i am fortunate to be a part of.
